Omni La Mansión del Rio and Mokara Hotel & Spa are delighted to announce the return of Yojainna Otero as Director of Catering & Conference Services where she will lead her teams towards achieving revenue goals while providing an overall great experience for all group events hosted by the hotels. Otero rejoined the team in January 2023 after spending 14 years as Director of Catering and Conference Services at The Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio.
Otero’s passion for hospitality began when she joined Omni La Mansión del Rio upon graduating from University of Texas San Antonio in 1998. During her ten-year tenure at the hotel, she worked her way up from a manager trainee to an Executive Meeting Manager before transitioning into Convention Service Manager. She was also part of the opening team for The Watermark Hotel (currently Mokara Hotel & Spa), where she served as Assistant Director of Convention Services before moving on to The Westin Riverwalk Team.

With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Otero brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. As Director of Catering and Convention Services, she will now have a chance to mentor those employees and share what she has learned during her over two decades spent developing successful events throughout San Antonio.
