Prowein 2014 To Feature “Champagne Lounge” And New Spirits Exhibitors

At ProWein 2014, International Trade Fair Wines and Spirits, Champagne producers will be featured with their own platform, with many of them taking part for the first time. The event will be held from March 23 – 25, 2014 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. Overall, about 4,700 exhibitors from 50 countries will present their wines and spirits, representing all relevant wine producing nations and regions.

With 3,220 square feet of exhibit space, the “Champagne Lounge” in Hall 7.1 at ProWein 2014 will include twice as many exhibitors as last year. Some 25 tradition-rich Champagne producers, including Champagne Taittinger, will showcase the modern varieties of this effervescent classic. About half the exhibitors from the Champagne region will be part of the “Champagne Lounge”. Two tasting areas with over 60 high-quality Champagnes will also be part of the “Champagne Lounge”. Additional Champagne suppliers will be located in halls 3 – 6.

Spirits from Germany, Europe and the New World
The central meeting point for first class spirits at Prowein will be Hall 7a, which this year will include some exciting newcomers such as two distilleries from the U.S.: Heaven Hill Distilleries Inc., by company accounts America’s largest family-run spirits producer, will be showcasing their extensive whiskey portfolio including “Elijah Craig 20-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon” and McCormick Distilling, which describes itself as America’s oldest continuously active distillery, has chosen ProWein 2014 to launch their “Triple Crown Whiskey” and “Hooks Rum” on the European market. Overall, 400 spirits exhibitors from Germany, Europe and the New World will present their products at ProWein. The range spans from fine liqueurs and traditional brandies to international classics.

The large number of spirits and sparkling wine suppliers is exceeded only by the number of international wine producers at ProWein 2014: nowhere else can visitors gain such a comprehensive overview of the world’s different wines. As in the past, Italy boasts the largest country participation followed by France and Germany. Overall, some 50 countries will be represented with all relevant wine producing nations and regions attending. With its online ticket shop, exhibitor database including the MyOrganizer function and event database, www.prowein.com offers useful tools to effectively prepare for a visit of ProWein 2014. The free ProWein App (available in English and German at the Apple AppStore and GooglePlay) also offers all key information on the trade fair.
