Surlean Foods Expands Dallas Plant

The San Antonio based company will expand the doors to their facility in Dallas in July 2016.

San Antonio, Texas (Jan. 25, 2016) – Surlean Foods has announced plans to expand their Dallas production facility. The capital improvement project will cost more than $8 million and will create nearly 65 additional jobs. Project completion is expected in July 2016.

“We are proud to strengthen our operations with this expansion,” said Daryl Scott, President of Surlean Foods.  “We look forward to the completion of this expansion. This will give our customers more flexibility when working with us on their proprietary projects.  The upgrades and enhancements will showcase Surlean Foods’ culinary direction, new product development and menu innovation strengths.”

As Surlean Foods focuses on expanding their cooking operations, the plant will have an added culinary R&D center with a customer presentation area as well as enhanced Quality Assurance capabilities.  With a strong customer focus, the Dallas facility will continue to streamline production processes to make customers’ menus more customizable and profitable.

“This is a very exciting time in the history of Surlean Foods,” said Scott.  “Expanding our manufacturing footprint in Dallas will not only create many new jobs, but will also strengthen our roots in the city.”

A family-owned and operated business with a rich historical legacy, Surlean Foods attributes its successful growth to a passion for “Feeding People Like Family.”  For more information about Surlean Foods and their customized foodservice capabilities, visit
