Talladega Superspeedway Anniversary Corn Whiskey

Talladega Superspeedway Anniversary Corn WhiskeyWe at Sugarlands have had a blast honoring the authentic history between NASCAR + moonshine since we became the Official Moonshine of NASCAR in October 2018. We’re excited to continue to build on this partnership with the release of a limited-edition unaged corn whiskey honoring the 50th Anniversary of Talladega Superspeedway.

This unaged corn whiskey is reminiscent of the spirits bootlegged throughout Appalachia with a crisp and clean, sweet corn flavor. Fans of speed + shine can pick up a jar of this collectors’ edition whiskey at Sugarlands downtown Gatlinburg, Tenn. distillery starting Friday, April 12, or on the shelves of local liquor stores across the southeast.

Talladega Superspeedway – or just ‘Dega to its loyal fans – broke ground as the Alabama International Motor Speedway on May 23, 1968, and hosted its first race on September 14, 1969. ‘Dega is known as the most competitive track in NASCAR. It’s the biggest, steepest (33 degrees), and fastest venue. The Sweet Home of Speed still holds the NASCAR qualifying record of 212.809 mph, and it tops the record books for lead changes (88), most leaders (29) and closest finishes – 0.002 second. Oh, and another thing ‘Dega is really good at? Legendary parties. It’s been 50 years of greatness, and the best is yet to come. Sips up ‘Dega!
