The Ranch At Live Oak, Malibu, Welcomes Meredith Haaz, Chef Of New Ranch 4.0 Program At Four Seasons Hotel Westlake VillageThe Ranch at Live Oak / Malibu, an award-winning, results-oriented, weight loss, fitness and wellness program, is pleased to welcome Meredith Haaz as Chef of The Ranch 4.0, located at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village.

In this role, Haaz will plan and prepare tasty, innovative and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner for guests participating in the program. The Ranch 4.0 believes in a vegetarian, 1,400 calorie per day diet, that effectively accompanies the rigorous daily physical regimen of the program. Haaz’s duties also include educating guests about the nutritional value of meals, and teaching simple tricks on how to trim down the fat and calories of a dish without losing the flavor, by incorporating unique ingredients and textures into the recipe. She will also be tasked with ordering seasonal organic produce from local suppliers to ensure that guests are provided with fresh food that not only tastes and looks delicious, but that sustains them and provides them with the necessary energy throughout the day.

Prior to joining The Ranch 4.0, Haaz spent more than 6 years in various culinary positions at the Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, including fine dining, pastry, cafeteria, banquets and the California Health and Longevity Institute, where she worked with dietitians to teach cooking classes. Through her range of experiences at the hotel, Haaz acquired in-depth knowledge of participating in the preparation and production of food items, and learned the importance of creating specialty dishes for guests with special dietary or cultural needs. Additionally, as a “Learning Coach” at the hotel, she demonstrates her commitment to learning about food and sharing knowledge with her team members.

The Ranch at Live Oak Malibu was founded in 2010 and designed to recalibrate the mind and body through an intense fitness regimen of 8-10 hours of exercise each day and a highly structured vegetarian diet. In September 2013, The Ranch at Live Oak / Malibu partnered with the California Health & Longevity Institute (CHLI) at Four Seasons Westlake Village to offer guests a 4-day version of the brand’s signature 7-day stay in a setting that allows for diagnostic testing and the ability to stay connected to the outside world.

Like The Ranch’s 7-day stay, the daily routine at The Ranch 4.0 consists of 8-10 hours per day of rigorous exercise including 4 hours of morning mountain hiking and an afternoon full of exercise classes including core and ab work, weights, body toning and sculpting, daily group yoga sessions as well as a daily massage (Friday – Sunday). Upon completion of the program guests feel both physically and mentally transformed, shedding unwanted pounds and inches, emanating a vibrant, healthy glow and regaining mental clarity and peace of mind. The Ranch 4.0 program costs $3,800 and is available weekly, Thursday – Monday.
