The Team Behind Hotel Chantelle Opens The Regal, Offering Neighborhood Natives a New Brunch, Dinner and Late Night Hangout in Brooklyn

The Regal: Diner & Cocktail Bar – From the Hotel Chantelle GuysThis Winter, The Regal will open in Williamsburg, bringing brunch, dinner and late night dining, along with an extensive cocktail program to the neighborhood. Located at 163 Hope Street, adjacent to the Williamsburg Bridge, a team of seasoned restaurateurs and partners of Hotel Chantelle: Seth Levine (Executive Chef), Ravi Patel, Frank Alessio, and Kyle O’Brien, have teamed up with the previous location’s (Hope Garage) partner,Delores Hoskins Auguet, to create a relaxed yet modern twist on a diner-cocktail bar concept. Open for dinner and late night dining, Executive Chef Seth Levine’s menu of American bistro favorites and unique spins on classic diner staples will satisfy any type of craving. Beginning Friday, January 29th, The Regal will be open for dinner and late night dining on Wednesdays until 2:00AM and Thursday thru Saturday from 5:00PM – 5:00AM, with its weekend brunch launching next week, February 6th.

In addition to Levine’s menu, a robust cocktail program, curated by Beverage Director Steven Escobar, features 14 wines by the glass, 8 craft beers on tap and 11 specialty cocktails. Bartenders will be mixing a variety of high quality cocktails such as the Spitfire (sotol, pineapple, lime, jalapeño infused agave), Thai Mule (Thai chili infused barrel aged vodka, ginger beer, lime, hellfire bitters), and the Powder Keg (barrel aged rye, cinnamon clove syrup, apple cider, lemon) for patrons to enjoy at all times of the night, from happy hour to late night. Further, 11 classic cocktails including an Old Fashioned, Negroni, and Daiquiri offer guests the comfort of their favorite go-to drinks with a twist.

Executive Chef Seth Levine draws upon his diverse culinary background, whimsical imagination and belief that dining should be fun, to bring The Regal a creative take on a classic diner-esq menu. With signature menu items such as theTuna-Tartare Melt, Lucy’s Meatball, Spanakopita Soufflé, French Onion Soup-Grilled Cheese, and Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich, guests can expect some of Levine’s innovative interpretations on diner food favorites. Additionally, daily specials will be offered including items like Chorizo Meatloaf and Country Fried Steak, and will rotate daily throughout the week. Adding a touch of comfort, sides will include items like Fried Pickles, Jalapeño Creamed Corn andPotato Latkes. Save room for dessert where inventive spiked milk shakes will be the “cherry on top” for a successful night out.

The Regal: Diner & Cocktail Bar – From the Hotel Chantelle Guys“The Regal speaks to everyone at all times. Expect people to sit at the bar enjoying a well-crafted cocktail, or joining friends for a casual meal,” says Partner and Executive Chef Seth Levine. “We definitely think we’ll be seeing our industry friends end their nights with us as well. And once brunch service starts, we will incorporate an amazing juice and smoothie program along with more indulgent offerings like stuffed French toast and various egg benedicts.”

Behind the twelve-seat granite bar, miniature wooden barrels house aged spirits and an oversized mirror displays the cocktail menu. Five plush red leather banquettes line the parameter of the open format restaurant while 15 tables fill the middle of the room totaling 70 seats. Antique copper-encased lights hang from the industrial chic ceiling while a glass window-filled garage door allows for natural light to flood in from the outside. With four tables out front, this indoor/outdoor restaurant is the perfect space for any occasion.

“The neighborhood is thriving right now, so when this concept came to us, we thought it would be cool to add a different type of venue to our portfolio, and in an area that could have fun with it,” says The Regal partner Ravi Patel.

The Regal is open four days a week until 2:00AM on Wednesdays and from 5:00PM – 5:00AM Thursday thru Saturday, with brunches on Saturday and Sunday 11:00AM – 5:00PM, beginning February 6th.
