About Jared Forman, Chef de Cuisine at Strip T’s
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Jared’s experience with food started early with weekly Sunday suppers cooked for the family by his Italian grandmother. This tradition of creating memories through food ultimately influenced him to ditch a path to a chemistry degree and switch to culinary school, where he attended Johnson & Wales. Upon earning his degrees, he worked in the kitchens at Thomas Keller’s Per Se, David Chang’s momofuku (where he met Tim Maslow), Michael White’s Marea, and Danny Meyer’s Gramercy Tavern. In 2011, Maslow invited Jared to join him in the reimagining of the menu at his father’s Watertown restaurant, Strip T’s, and the two have been cooking together ever since.
