Inviting epicureans back to Mexico in a big way, Chileno Bay Resort & Residences has launched a new guest chef series, introducing Washoku Nights beginning March 15. Wakoshu, a Japanese culinary tradition associated with a deep respect for nature and sustainable practices, is the inspiration for the newly crafted pop-up series. Blending local ingredients found in the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean with Asian flavors and preparations, Chef Alicia will curate three-course omakase menus and sake pairings at La Playita, Chileno Bay’s coveted stretch of coastline with white sands and clear-blue waters.

The iconic oceanfront resort on the Island of Hawaii hosts regular Icons of Wine tasting series and dinners, paying homage to the resort’s history as the birthplace of Opus One Wine. Mauna Kea Beach Hotel has a rich history with Opus Wine—the genesis of the wine dates back to 1970, when Robert Mondavi and Baron Philippe de Rothschild first met at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. They dreamed of merging an old and new world wine into one grand opus, resulting in an iconic winery and product out of Napa Valley. This year, they are hosting a series of “Icons of Wine” weekends featuring nearly a dozen wineries, intimate events over each weekend, and a decadent wine dinner on Sunday.

Commodore Perry Estate is welcoming Chef James Yeun Leong Parry, founder of the San Francisco-based Chinese pop-up, The Happy Crane, for a beautiful collaboration between Chef  Bradley Nicholson, the resort’s Executive Chef, and Chef James. Chef Bradley and Chef James, who share a passion for their culinary roots – having worked together at the Michelin-starred Benu of San Francisco – bring with them an exciting weekend of friendship, conversation and food. The collaboration will include a 7-course family style dinner at Lutie’s, fusing Texas with Chinese cuisine, and an exciting noodle demonstration with Chef James in the resort’s Chapel.
