WINES OF CHILE EXHIBITS AT HOSPICE DU RHONE

Wines of Chile exhibited at the 20th annual Hospice du Rhone in Paso Robles, CA the world’s largest, international celebration of Rhone-style wines.

Wineries from Chile, France, South Africa, Spain, Australia, Italy and the US participated and the event which attracted more than 1200 consumers. Wines of Chile took part in a variety of the activities including the Grand Tasting, the Big Bottle Tasting, and the closing BBQ dinner.

Chilean wines featured in the big bottle event included wines from Falernia, Morande, Polkura, Casa Silva, Viña Casablanca and Meli.

“The Hospice du Rhone event was a great opportunity for Chile to exhibit the very special contributions our unique geography and climate make to Rhone style wines.”  Said Lori Tieszen, Executive Director of Wines of Chile USA.  Fred Dexheimer, MS added “The new world offers up many new opportunities to develop classic expressions of these varieties, and also some blended wines such as Syrah and Carmenere that are not possible in France.”
