Winnetu Oceanside Resort Welcomes New General Manager and Executive Chef to Lead the Seasonal Reopening for 2016Winnetu Oceanside Resort, Martha’s Vineyard’s premiere seasonal getaway, announces today the appointments of Roland Georges as General Manager and Noel Middleton as Executive Chef. The duo will lead the charge for the property’s seasonal reopening on April 14, 2016.

“We are thrilled for Georges and Chef Middleton to join our team and are confident that their leadership abilities and culinary talent will elevate the guest experience on Martha’s Vineyard,” said Winnetu Oceanside Resort owner, Gwenn Snider.  “Chef’s incredible ability to draw inspiration from his surroundings paired with Roland’s management capabilities are sure to impress new and returning guests alike.”

With more than 25 years of diversified experience in hotel and resort operations in the U.S., Caribbean, United Kingdom and Indian Ocean, the appointment of Georges as General Manger comes at an important time for the Winnetu Oceanside Resort. The property is currently undergoing a series of property enhancements including a new Poolside Grill and a refresh of The Dunes bar and kids area. To coincide with the seasonal reopening, Winnetu is also proud to unveil the newly renovated two bedroom, standalone luxury cottage, Cape Pogue.  Decorated in creamy whites and subtle earth tones accented by natural wood finishes, fresh beachside adornments and vintage New England black and white photography, Cape Pogue is the ultimate escape for families, girlfriends or couples traveling together.  In his new role, Georges will be responsible for all resort operations, leading the way for hotel staff to delight guests with hospitality and oceanside charm.

A seasoned expert with a management focus on hospitality, Georges most recently served as Hotel Manager at The Palms Turks and Caicos. Prior, he served as the Opening Executive Assistant Manager at the five-star Raffles Praslin Resort in the Seychelles where he oversaw opening activities.

Noel Middleton, a foodservice and culinary expert with more than twenty years of professional cooking and foodservice management experience, has been named Executive Chef of the hotel. In his role, Middleton will be responsible for overseeing food and beverage operations, leading the culinary team and staff to exceed guest’s culinary expectations and offering a fresh and innovative take on the already stellar culinary offerings.

With experience in farm-to-table, contemporary global, American, casual and classical fine-dining cuisines and food service production, Middleton joins the culinary team at Winnetu Oceanside Resort after serving as the Food & Beverage Manager at its sister property, The Nantucket Hotel & Resort. Prior, he served as the Executive Sous Chef at Bartlett’s Ocean View Farm in Nantucket.
