Wisconsin-based Brands Teamed Up to Celebrate Grilling SeasonCousins Subs® and Johnsonville® Sausage came together in the late summer to offer guests a special taste of Wisconsin with two limited-time-only subs, the Wisconsin Steak & Brat on Italian bread and the Wisconsin Brat & Bacon on pretzel bread.

“This was an exciting opportunity for Cousins to partner with another Wisconsin-based company,” said Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs. “The Johnsonville brat subs were a huge hit. The partnership allowed the brands to have some fun with each other, both in store and online.”

To promote the Wisconsin-based powerhouse partnership, Cousins invited Facebook fans to take a “What’s Your Game Day Sub” personality quiz that automatically entered them into a sweepstakes to win one of six Johnsonville tailgate packages. The tailgate packages included: a tabletop grill, five-piece grilling set, an umbrella with cooler attachment, a two-person foldable tailgating chair and coupons for Johnsonville Brats.

The six winners of the sweepstakes include:

Cousins and Johnsonville also engaged in banter via Twitter throughout the time period the LTO subs were available, using hashtags such as #BrattyCousin.

“We had a lot of fun working with Cousins to introduce customers to a new sub, and we hope these customers also had fun with this special promotion,” said Wendy Radder, foodservice marketing associate at Johnsonville. “We predicted this partnership would be a success, and it was. It was great to see two iconic Wisconsin food brands come together and see so many customers enjoy these unique and flavorful subs.”
