Announcing The Bootleg Series Vol II: Heaven’s Door new, rare whiskey

Today, Heaven’s Door Whiskey announced the Bootleg Series Vol II, the second limited release in the brand’s Bootleg Series, an annual release of rare whiskeys, named after Bob Dylan’s famed Bootleg albums. The new whiskey is available for pre-order now, and will be on shelves next month.

This year’s edition features another unique background and non-traditional flavor profile: a cask strength 15-year-old straight bourbon whiskey with a secondary finish in Jamaican Pot Still Rum Casks. Distinctly richer with slightly tropical notes from the fermentation process, this cask strength 104.6 proof Tennessee whiskey – which underwent the Lincoln County Process – boasts an abundance of maple syrup on the nose, with a finish that brings forward notes of toasted coconut, holiday spice, and toasted oak, where the influence from the sugar cane and rum extraction shines.

The Bootleg Series Vol. II will be offered in handmade ceramic bottles that feature one of Bob Dylan’s classic paintings, Sunset. Monument Valley, housed in beautifully designed and individually numbered collectible leather journals. With this being such a rare bourbon, there are only 3,000 bottles for sale at a Suggested Retail Price of $499.99 for a 750ml bottle.
