Around the Restaurant Industry in 150 MinutesWHAT:

On Wednesday, May 11th, 2016 the Massachusetts Restaurant Association (MRA) is hosting an informative seminar at Gray, Gray & Gray in Canton, Massachusetts to discuss the ins and outs of the restaurant industry. Around The Restaurant Industry in 150 Minutes is a chance for restaurateurs and leaders in the industry to come together and discuss the current state of the restaurant industry and upcoming trends in 2016. Held from 2:30PM-5:30PM, the night will be divided into three sessions, followed by a cocktail reception hosted by Gray, Gray & Gray.

In session one, from 3:00PM to 4:00PM, the group will discuss upcoming trends in the restaurant industry. Industry experts, including Charles Perkins of the Boston Restaurant GroupEdward Lynch of Restaurant Finance Group, Beth Grazio, Esq. from Ruberto, Israel, Weiner, P.C., Mark Kashgegian from Gray, Gray & Gray and Bill McDonough of Scribendi Advertising, will discuss what is new and important in restaurant operations as well as financing, law and marketing.

Session two, running from 4:00PM to 4:45PM, will focus on negotiating and navigating the world of leases. Panelists, including Mark S. Bressler of Sasson & Cymrot, LLP, Matthew Kilty of Trinity Building and Construction Management Corp, Michael d’Hemecourt of Boston Realty Advisors, Mitchell Roberts of PR Restaurants and Jef Leon of Bergmeyer Associates, Inc., will discuss how restaurant owners can protect their assets and control costs when arranging a lease.

The final session, from 4:45PM-5:30PM, will narrow in on the top concerns keeping restaurateurs up at night including taxes, government relations and recruiting and retaining talent. Presenters include Mark Kashgegian of Gray, Gray & GrayStephen Clark of the Massachusetts Restaurant Association, Kip Hollister of Hollister Staffing and Institute, Luciano Canova of Luciano’s Restaurant and Al DeNapoli of Tarlow Breed Hart & Rodgers, P.C.

The seminar will conclude with a cocktail reception hosted by Gray, Gray & Gray where restaurateurs can mingle, network and further discuss the evening’s topics.
