The triple Five-Star Mandarin Oriental, Miami and Warner Music Latina launch MO Bar Unplugged, a series of intimate, high-profile concerts held at the hotel’s swanky new MO Bar + Lounge. MO Bar Unplugged will feature top Latin artists performing songs off their forthcoming albums as well as popular favorites from previous albums in a lively, cosmopolitan waterfront setting.
The inaugural concert will kick off on Wednesday May 7, 2014 at 8pm featuring LA LEY, multiple Grammy award-winning Chilean rock-pop band, who achieved international stardom for top hits including “Dia Cero,” “El Duelo,” “Mentira” and “Aqui.” The band last performed together nearly a decade ago and this will be their first show in the United States since 2005.
“We are delighted to launch MO Bar Unplugged as a unique platform for Latin artists to showcase their music in an intimate venue,” said Jorge Gonzalez, general manager and vice president of Mandarin Oriental, Miami. “This exclusive new series will provide a distinctive experience to the hotel and we are thrilled to kick it off with LA LEY, who has attracted fans from around the world.”
The performance will take place in MO Bar + Lounge one week before the band’s release of their CD titled “RETOUR,” available on May 13, 2014. “RETOUR” is a best-of album including a brand-new song “OLVIDAR,” currently ranked one of the top songs on the Latin Pop Billboard Charts.
