Chef Wilfried Bergerhausen joins Bagatelle as the Corporate Executive Chef, bringing international flavors and innovation to the French Mediterranean brand. The French native realized his passion for the art of cuisine at a young age, having grown up with a produce-farmer grandfather and restauranteur father. At 10 years old, Chef Wilfried proved his culinary capabilities when he won the “The Week of Taste” award in Cannes. From there, he pursued a certificate of cooking at the prestigious Paul Augier in Nice, France before earning a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts management. His career began as a catering chef and went on to work with prominent French restaurants, including Le Sud, Villa Des Lys and two-Michelin-star restaurant L’Oasis. In 2010, he moved to Las Vegas, and through a fateful dinner reservation at MGM Grand’s Joël Robuchon Restaurant, he went from guest to sous chef to kitchen manager. At 28, Chef Wilfried then became Executive Chef of Le Cirque at Bellagio, where he brought the restaurant, in record time, a world reputation and was awarded and recognized as a leading chef among the competitive Las Vegas circuit.
