Ryan to continue building Kräftig beer sales in the St. Louis region

Trent Ryan Joins the Wm. K. Busch Brewing Co.Continuing its growth strategy and expanding sales, the St. Louis-based William K. Busch Brewing Co. has hired Trent Ryan as Area Sales Manager for the greater St. Louis region, it was announced today.

Trent Ryan Joins the Wm. K. Busch Brewing Co.Ryan has comprehensive experience in consumer product sales and, specifically, in the alcohol beverage business. He started his career with Major Brands in St. Louis, and moved on to the Miller Brewing Company, where he worked as a Sales Representative and Distributor Training Specialist.

He also worked for Sara Lee Corporation as a Territory Development Manager and, most recently, held the position of District Sales Manager for Pepperidge Farm.

As Area Sales Manager, Ryan will be responsible for the sales of the company’s award-winning, all-natural Kräftig Lager and Kräftig Light, and for market and key account planning for the St. Louis area and Metro East in Illinois. He also will supervise the company’s St. Louis-area sales team.

Kräftig Lager and Kräftig Light are available throughout all of Missouri, Eastern Kansas, Western Illinois, and South Texas, and soon, North Texas markets.

Ryan joins Teresa Brenner, of Kansas City, and Pete Avinger, of Houston, who were recently hired as Area Sales Managers, reporting to Rick Davis, Vice President of Sales.

Kräftig Lager and Kräftig Light, which were rolled out in St. Louis in November 2011, are brewed using only all-natural ingredients — Hallertau hops, two- and six-row barley, robust yeast, and pure water — and an uncompromising commitment to quality, using a time-honored brewing tradition, Busch said.

The brands have won 29 national and international beer industry awards for their quality and taste in blind tastings by beer industry experts. Its most recent award was a Gold Medal for Kräftig Light in the U.S. Open Beer Championship in July.

Ryan is a graduate of Murray State University and resides in the St. Louis area with his family.
