Association Elects Four New Board Members

Louisville, KY (August 12, 2015) – A new Board of Directors has been seated for the Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF). Board members will serve a two-year term beginning August 2015.

Randy Sparrow is responsible for the operations of the food and nutrition services department in addition to the environmental services for Pro Health Care which include Waukesha Memorial Hospital, Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital, Angel’s Grace, Pewaukee Ambulatory Cancer Center, Pro Health Care Corporate Office Riverwood and 19 Clinics. He is accountable for daily operations, planning and implementing multiple programs including; room service, personnel management, staff training and development, policy administration, purchasing, marketing of services, nutrition education, budget compliance, sanitation and adherence to the standards of hospital and regulatory agencies. Randy is a graduate of Purdue University in Restaurant, Hotel and Institution Management and will serve as the president of AHF,  having previously served as treasurer and conference chair.

Julie Jones has 30 years of experience in hospital-based food and nutrition services. She is currently director of nutrition services for the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. In this capacity, she is responsible for the food and nutrition services provided across the five-hospital system. Julie has extensive experience in food service operations and financial analyses of hospital food service departments. She has participated in multiple task forces for food and supply distribution for Novation, a group purchasing organization. She has served as chair, food and nutrition council for University HealthSystems Consortium, a group supporting academic medical centers and their affiliates in the United States. She graduated from The Ohio State University, Division of Medical Dietetics. Julie also received a master of science in nutrition from OSU. She has served on the AHF Board of Directors in a variety of roles and begins her term as President-Elect in August 2015.
