Life-Sized Gingerbread Houses Unveiled by Taste of Home Magazine & Kellogg’s Rice Krispies

What:

Taste of Home, the leading food and entertaining magazine, and Kellogg’s Rice Krispies, are debuting Gingerbread BLVD, a first ever, one-of-a-kind collection of three life-sized Gingerbread Houses. The Gingerbread Houses will be unveiled on December 9 at 5 pm to coincide with the Mad. Sq. Holiday tree lighting ceremony at Madison Square Park. Beginning in 1912, Madison Square was home to the first public holiday tree in the nation. The annual celebration, hosted by the Madison Square Park Conservancy, is packed with free family activities and live entertainment. Taste of Home will be distributing holiday treats, along with a special Rice Krispies holiday recipe, to share fun, family-friendly ideas with attendees.

Each of the three houses, standing at 6x6x4 feet, celebrates a favorite holiday flavor: Peppermint Place, Cocoa Cottage and Cinnamon Shack. Visitors to the installation will be able to text to vote for their favorite for a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize.  Attendees can also share and interact with the houses using the hashtag #TOHBLVD.  The winning house will revealed on TasteofHome.com on December 23rd.
