OMNI BOSTON HOTEL AT THE SEAPORT ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF

Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is proud to announce the promotion of Yousef Ghalaini to the position of Executive Chef. Formerly Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport’s Executive Sous Chef, Chef Ghalaini has been instrumental in opening the seven-restaurant Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport and developing the finest food and beverage offerings in the city of Boston.

With over a decade of progressive experience, Chef Ghalani has opened highly acclaimed restaurants including Steak 954 at the W Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, the Mondrian SoHo Hotel in New York City, and the Bench at the Lodge at Pebble Beach.

“We are looking forward to Chef Ghalaini creating a fresh approach to our hotel and the 5 Omni-operated dining venues that cater to the guests and their dining experiences,” said Michael Jorgensen, Managing Director at Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. “Chef Ghalani will enhance our already beloved restaurants by incorporating his mastery of California cuisine on our classic dishes.”

“It is a true honor to continue be part of Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport’s family,” said Executive Chef Ghalani. “I am thrilled to present a range of thoughtful dining experiences unparalleled in Boston’s Seaport District”.

As a native of Lebanon, Chef Ghalaini was immersed in the culture of food at his grandfather’s bakery where he learned the art of the wood-burning oven at an early age, a culinary skill he has conquered today. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, he honed his food and wine skills at Go Fish restaurant and Robert Sinskey Vineyards, before landing at the Michelin-rated REDD restaurant, mastering one of the most celebrated styles of California cuisine.

Chef Ghalaini moved to New Haven, Connecticut in January 2010 where he brought new life to Bespoke restaurant, garnering critical praise from local media and the New York Times. Most Recently, Chef Ghalaini was the Executive Chef at the iconic Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, and Executive Chef at TD Garden in Boston.

In his role as Executive Chef of Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport, Chef Ghalani will continue to make the hotel and five of its seven culinary venues the premier culinary destination in the Seaport. The food and beverage outlets present a range of imaginative dining experiences in artfully inspired, authentically local settings. Bostonians, and out-of-town guests alike, can look forward to experiencing Chef Ghalani’s culinary work at Kestra, Sporting Club, Lifted Pool Bar, Crescendo Lobby Bar, and the Legato Grab & Go Market.
