One in five children in America struggle with hunger, and for the second year, Tommy Bahama is partnering with Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. Throughout September, donations made at Tommy Bahama Restaurants, full-priced U.S. retail stores and tommybahama.com will help No Kid Hungry end childhood hunger in America to ensure that every child gets the nourishment they need to learn and grow.
Each September, No Kid Hungry hosts a national fundraising program that brings together thousands of restaurants and millions of consumers to help raise funds for the cause and to generate a dialogue about the problem of childhood hunger. . Guests visiting any Tommy Bahama Restaurant or full-priced U.S. retail location, as well as tommybahama.com throughout the month of September have the opportunity to make a $5 donation to No Kid Hungry. In exchange for the donation, Tommy Bahama is offering a $20 promotional award card that can be redeemed in Tommy Bahama Restaurants, full-priced U.S. retail stores and tommybahama.com from October 1st-31st. Anyone who chooses to donate $1 at any Tommy Bahama Restaurant location will receive an orange wrist band with the island-inspired lifestyle brand’s motto “Make Life One Long Weekend.™”
Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar guests enthusiastically embraced Dine Out for No Kid Hungry last year and generously donated to the cause. This September, as Tommy Bahama expands the program to its full-priced U.S. retail stores and tommybahama.com, they will reach all their guests and making it more convenient than ever to help end childhood hunger in America.
Funds are used to raise awareness about child hunger in the U.S.; create public-private partnerships that align kids with the resources they need; support nutrition programs like school breakfast and summer meals; and educate kids and their families on how to cook healthy meals with limited resources.
