Fall is in the Air with The Florentine’s New Fall Menu

The Florentine, Chicago’s Italian cucina, is ringing in cool weather with new autumn-inspired dishes, allowing diners to experience the delicious flavors of the season with an Italian twist. Infamous fall favorites like pumpkin, Brussels sprouts and butternut squash are highlighted across a traditional, authentic menu.

Located in the heart of Chicago inside the J.W. Marriott, The Florentine is the destination when seeking the best, seasonal Italian fare. The new menu features classic Italian dishes ranging from sweet to savory to everything in between curated by Executive Chef Zachary Walrath.

With reimagined pasta dishes and classic Italian main courses, highlights from the new fall menu include:

 

Antipasti & Insalata

Burrata di Campana (cream-filled mozzarella, bosc pears, prosciutto di parma, pomegranate, honeycomb)

Shishito Peperone (grilled shishito peppers, ‘nduja, parmesan fondue, garlic breadcrumbs, lemon, ciabatta)

Cavolfiore (roasted cauliflower, black lentils, baby kale, red grapes, walnuts, lemon dressing)

 

Pizza

Prosciutto (grilled pears, tallegio, fior di latte, truffle honey, sage)

Brussels Sprouts (apple, caramelized onions, pancetta, gorgonzola dolci, saba)

Shrimp Scampi (garlic, shaved fennel, chili, parmiggiano reggiano, parsley, lemon)

 

Paste 
Gnocchi (braised oxtail, Brussels sprouts, kombucha squash, pecorino)
Tortellini (pumpkin and ricotta filled, pomegranate, brown butter, pumpkin seeds, Saba)

Rigatoni (rapini, rock shrimp, butternut squash, shiitake mushrooms, pancetta)

 

Secondi

Bistecca (16-oz grass fed ribeye, delicata squash rings, rosemary butter)

Capesante (Hudson Canyon scallops, herbed polenta, Brussels sprouts,

 stewed oxtail, brown butter, hazelnuts)

Porchetta (roasted porcelet porchetta, watercress, pink lady apples,

 fennel, currants, salsa verde, Saba)

 

Dolce

Crostata di Fichi (warm fig cake, fig jam, blackberries, vanilla gelato, pistachio)

Cassata di Cioccolata Bianca (white chocolate gelato, 

dried fruits and nuts, Amarena cherries, candied orange)

Sformato di Zucca (pumpkin flan, salted pepitas, cinnamon whipped cream)

Whether it’s warming up after a long, chilly day or celebrating with family and friends, The Florentine’s new fall dishes are a must this season. The Florentine, owned by ESquared Hospitality, reinterprets seasonal Italian cuisine offering an accessible yet elegant dining experience and a menu characterized by simplicity and premium ingredients. Located in Chicago’s JW Marriott at 151 W.
