LIQS COCKTAIL SHOTS EXPANDS INTERNATIONALLY WITH DISTRIBUTION DEAL IN JAPAN

LIQS Cocktail Shot (LIQS.com), the highly popular and market-leading ready-to-drink cocktail shot in the US, is pleased to announce a major expansion into the Japanese market.

“This marks a major milestone for the brand,” said Harley Bauer, co-founder of LIQS. “Back when we launched in 2013, RTD’s were not a well-respected category and there was tremendous push-back, but after educating both retailers and consumers on the quality and multiple usage occasions, we’ve experienced tremendous consumer and retailer growth and acceptance”.

The brand launched with a kick-off party at the hottest club in Tokyo, 1 OAK Tokyo, where Skrillex and Poo Bear were the celebrity DJ’s. The brand is now available throughout Japan at nightclubs, retailers and on Amazon.com.jp.

“The RTD category here in the US has exploded over the last 18 months, and the international markets are taking notice, especially Japan, which has the second highest amount of RTD sales behind the US” Bauer added.

LIQS Cocktail Shots are crafted from premium spirits, real fruit juice and natural flavors. They are 20% abv, low in sugar, low in calories, gluten-free and the only brand offering a truly premium, all-natural RTD shot.

“LIQS is perfect for this market. The uniqueness, portability and great flavor offerings directly appeal to the Japanese consumer,” says Shuto Ikedai, importer for the brand at Carters Corporation added.

This international expansion deal will help close out a great year for the brand, which is now available in 16 states and sold in chains such as Walmart, Total Wine & More, Circle K, Sheetz and many other retailers. In addition, LIQS can be found in clubs, bars, casinos, live music venues and festivals throughout the US.
