Broker’s® London Dry Gin Launches Third Annual National Mixology CompetitionBroker’s Gin, the award-winning, premium small batch London Dry gin, is proud to announce the third annual Broker’s Bowler Cup, a national mixology competition presented by The Tasting Panel Magazine. Mixologists can enter to win a trip to Tales of the Cocktail, the world’s premier cocktail event in New Orleans. Four winners will be selected and their cocktails will be served in the Broker’s Gin Tasting Room at Tales of the Cocktail and a final winner will be chosen via crowd voting.

“Given the tremendous success of our previous competitions, we are delighted to once again sponsor the Broker’s Bowler Cup in partnership with The Tasting Panel Magazine,” said Andy Dawson, co-founder,Broker’s Gin. “I know this year’s contestants will challenge each other to come up with even more creative cocktails that really highlight the versatility of Broker’s. Plus, we’ve got some great new twists planned for the tasting room which will make it a lot of fun for the guests and the contestants alike.”

The contest is open to working mixologists who reside in the United States and are of legal drinking age. They are encouraged to submit their applications between April 13th and May 22nd via Facebook (Facebook.com/BrokersGinUSA), Instagram (#BrokersBowlerCup), or email (BrokersBowlerCup@hrdspirits.com).Each application should contain the mixologist’s bio, cocktail recipe and name, and a photo of the mixologist with the cocktail.

The Broker’s Bowler Cup winners will be determined by a combination of online voting by consumers and judging of the finalists’ cocktails by The Tasting Panel Magazine’s advisory panel. Twelve mixologists – the top three per region – determined by the highest number of consumer votes – will have their cocktails replicated at a live tasting event in Los Angeles on June 15th. The cocktails will be judged based on taste, originality, visual presentation, practicality and a creative name.  The panel of experts will select one mixologist per region – West, Central, East and South – who will win an all-expense paid trip to Tales of the Cocktail to compete for a chance to be selected as the final Broker’s Bowler Cup winner.

“We are proud of our continuing partnership with Broker’s Gin to celebrate the creative ways bartenders are experimenting with gin,” said Meridith May, Publisher & Executive Editor of The Tasting Panel.  “As a craft spirit, Broker’s Gin has inspired so many bartenders to be daring and innovative when creating unique gin cocktails. We’re sure that this year’s Bowler Cup will be the best showcase yet.”

About Broker’s London Dry Gin

Broker’s Gin is small batch, micro-distilled in the heart of England. Located in Langley, England, the distillery where Broker’s Gin is made is over 200-years-old and uses only traditional pot stills. The raw ingredients are quadruple-distilled pure grain spirit made from English wheat and ten natural botanicals (herbs, spices and fruit). The botanicals are steeped for 24 hours in the pure grain spirit which is then distilled for a fifth time.

A key icon for the brand is the bowler hat, a distinguishing characteristic of an English gentleman. The two charismatic founders, Martin and Andy Dawson, are true believers in the personality of Broker’s, and find that the British humor that accompanies their gin is essential to occasions in which gin is best enjoyed. Broker’s Gin is distributed exclusively in the United States by Hood River Distillers.
