SEAMUS MULLEN PARTNERS WITH ROSEWOOD SAND HILL AS CULINARY DIRECTOR

Rosewood Sand Hill, the five-star hotel set in Menlo Park, California, has partnered with acclaimed Chef Seamus Mullen to serve as the property’s Culinary Director. Through this partnership, Seamus will oversee the creative aspects of the culinary program across the hotel’s three outlets and in-room dining, from menu development to the curation of new food and beverage experiences. Seamus will guide the team at Rosewood Sand Hill to deliver convivial culinary concepts for the resort’s signature, Michelin-starred restaurant, Madera, The Library & Bar and the seasonal poolside pop-up.

A firm believer that food is a pillar for health, Seamus’ cooking style is approachable and simplistic, allowing the ingredients and their flavors to shine on the plate. Showcasing the best of the California region’s bounty of high-quality ingredients, Seamus’ new menus for Rosewood Sand Hill are rooted in Mediterranean cuisine where fresh and seasonal local produce, meats and seafood take center stage.

“I am thrilled to return to my roots in Northern California and partner with Rosewood Sand Hill to innovate the hotel’s food and beverage program,” said Seamus Mullen, culinary director of Rosewood Sand Hill.  “I’ve had a personal connection to the property for several years and it is an incredible honor to lead the culinary program. The team has already created such a strong foundation and we are excited to bring a refreshed dining experience to our guests and visitors.”

Best known best for his communal and ingredient-driven approach to Spanish cuisine, Seamus will bring new cooking styles and dining experiences to Rosewood Sand Hill, such as paella and grilled seafood poolside, live fire cooking and whole animal roasts. The award-winning epicurean expert will also host guest-facing events, such as culinary workshops and thematic dinners that highlight Rosewood Sand Hill’s A Sense of Place® philosophy.

“We are elated to have Seamus oversee the culinary program at Rosewood Sand Hill,” said Philip Meyer, managing director of Rosewood Sand Hill. “Seamus brings a unique and creative vision to our team, and we are looking forward to delivering new and inspired gastronomic offerings to our guests and visitors throughout the hotel.”

Rosewood Sand Hill’s restaurants are among the finest dining options in Northern California, featuring the signature Michelin-starred Madera, offering a menu of refined dishes honoring the culinary traditions of the Bay Area; The Library & Bar, the area’s most sophisticated gathering place, with seasonal cocktails and a light food menu; the seasonal poolside pop-up and Madera Away, the resort’s Michelin-starred in-room dining experience.
